The aim of Kizomba Ladies Series is to celebrate the beauty and power of women through elegant movement to Afro-Caribbean music.

This series will be coordinated and instructed by Veronika St Gilles of Kizomba Alegria Dance Company.

Final flashmob video will be featured worldwide on social media as part of 6th annual GLOBAL project.Some of the worlds most renowned teachers, DJs and promoters joined together to create the Kizomba World Project.
The first 4 projects were World Kizomba Day Flashmob and International Women's Day Flashmob which united the whole global Kizomba scene, where we had over 104 cities participating, and 1000s of dancers being part of this amazing events.

7-WEEK CHALLENGE

(Flashmob Filming and LIVE Performance Opportunities are Optional)

No prior experience dancing Kizomba is necessary.

Dancers from any background and non-dancers are welcome to join!

You CAN participate in the challenge with choosing NOT to perform/showcase in subsequent performance opportunities.

If you miss a Sunday of training, you will be able to catch up in private Whatsapp chat where all detailed video tutorials will be posted.

NOTE: the studio has a cozy and secure lobby area with visibility into the main room. You are welcome to bring children with you, as long as they don't disrupt the session. Child care is NOT provided.

SCHEDULE:

Zoom Orientation and Q&A session - Sunday, Feb 18th at 4:00PM

When: 7 consecutive Sundays - 4pm-5:30pm (Sunday, Feb 25 through Sunday, April 7)

Where: Adrianna Eve Dance Studio, 11025 Monroe Rd, Matthews, NC 28105 – dance studio next to comics bookstore

Tentative Filming date: Sunday, April 14

Ladies that participated in Kizomba Alegria Ginga projects for 2020-2023 receive 10% discount
Matching outfits/costumes - extra cost (about $80)

Registration fee covers studio training, professional filming, subsequent training sessions/rehearsals for live performances. A portion of your registration fee will go towards charity organization of 2024 project and to teachers of the Flashmob and World Kizomba Project.
